Aztec Bookends

Reclaimed wood from the Saskatchewan prairies.

I love trying out new art styles both because it keeps my creative imagination fresh, and I have a lot of fun with new challenges. These are my ‘Aztec Bookends’ – two identical 9.5” x 22.5” rectangles mirroring one another with hand cut & stained geometric patterns. They look great hung up side by side, or on either side of a window, bookcase, door, or large feature picture. Loving the cool color palette made out of reclaimed cedar (light browns/beige), very old & sun-burnt fir (dark brown) and an old picket fence (sea-foam green).
