Never Far

Reclaimed wood from the Saskatchewan prairies.

This artwork was a commissioned piece that I completed for a close friend of mine. A tribute to the loved ones that we lose way too soon.
For sentimental value, I created the mountains using her mother’s barn wood, and woodburnt two chickadees over the foggy forest to represent her parents through her mother’s favourite bird.
A connection between love, loss, and the natural cycle that brings us all back together.
