Reclaimed wood from the Saskatchewan prairies
Made with reclaimed cedar and well-aged barn wood, I finally listened to the encouragement of my parents and didn’t trim the bottom of the mountains on an art piece! They had been suggesting that I leave the jagged mountain edges for almost a year now, and I agreed to give it a shot on this project. A slightly more unique design to anything I’ve created yet!
I always say I’m a lake girl. Don’t get me wrong – I deeply love and respect the ocean and thoroughly enjoy visiting it, but the coast line is not where I experience the most internal sense of peace. I love the stillness of lakes, the fresh water, the views across to the other side, the calmness, the predictability. If I had to pick where to build my dream studio it would certainly be beside a lake, nestled among the trees.
